Marketing Web site for Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP One of my first assignments at Microsoft was to create the Web content to sell their new companion product to Windows XP. Beyond dealing with the often conflicting demands of the Marketing Department, I had to use phrasing that could be easily translated into other languages. Trying to entice sales with a Web site is different from virtually any other form of marketing. The text, the graphics, and the layout must all work together to compel the customer on a journey from one nugget of information to the next, page after page. I wrote the content below for the Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP product website. |
